Message	covered or considered by any JDM importer. You are bascially buying a short block with whatever else happens to be bolted onto it. Compression or rod knock is really the only thing you can go back and try to get a warranty claim based on with these things. Even then you have to have it installed pretty fast given the typical 30 - 90 day warranties.
